Meghan Morrissette, RN, BSN, uses concentrated platelet-rich plasma with microneedling or Potenza® RF to boost collagen, refine texture, and revive luminosity, all with minimal downtime and maximal natural-looking results.
Platelet-rich plasma is your own blood, refined. After Meghan draws a small tube, it’s spun in a medical centrifuge that stratifies the sample into three layers: red cells on the bottom, a buffy coat of white cells in the middle, and a luminous “liquid gold” layer on top—plasma enriched with millions of platelets.
Platelets are best known for clotting cuts but also act as tiny biochemical powerhouses, releasing growth factors such as PDGF, TGF-β, and VEGF. These messengers awaken fibroblasts to lay fresh collagen and elastin, stimulate new capillaries for better nutrient flow, and accelerate tissue repair.
Once isolated, Meghan either paints or lightly injects this concentrate after Collagen PIN microneedling or disperses it uniformly with the Potenza® Fusion Tip, which adds gentle radiofrequency heat. The micro-channels—or the RF needles—create controlled micro-injuries; the PRP immediately floods those sites, supercharging the skin’s natural healing loop.
